10 Years Since The Great East Japan Earthquake
Dear friends of IFLA,
听
This is Misato Uehara, the delegate of JLAU IFLA Japan.
Today marks the 10th year of the Great East Japan Earthquake of 11 March 2011. This earthquake, as well as the two earthquakes off Sumatra, caused a huge tsunami that killed many people and destroyed towns.
We can expect more major earthquakes and tsunamis in Asia and around the world. 2011 earthquake and Tsunami disaster was a very sad event, We would like to share as much information as possible about the challenges of reconstruction and how people are living in the rebuilt cities so that we hope it will be your region's tips for disaster prevention and response in different areas.
We would like to thank the world for the support we received 10 years ago.
